James 3:17 “But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and wiling to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds.”
If any of you have ever asked advice from anyone, and have also asked advice from Judy Brown you will know why I want to honor her.
This year was a year with a new lesson around every corner, thank goodness my perspective (98% of the time) stands at a posture of 19’21…Proverbs 19:21 that is. “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” This verse has been at the forefront of my mind and I encourage you to ask God to reveal it’s peacefulness to you. Not gonna lie, keeping this verse close to my heart doesn’t completely diminish the questions, do I go back or forth, right or left. here or there. That is why everyone needs a Judy in their life.
She is a busy biiiiizeee lady, but that never stopped her from making time for me when I needed guidance. I go to her because her advice is SUBJECTIVE. Subjective to what the WORD says. Subjective to what God calls us to do. Subjective to WHO’s image we are made in. I swear she sat down at a table with God before she even knew what I wanted to meet about and asked Him, “So what do I need to tell Kayla this time?”
Judy’s advice has always been spot on for me because she allows God to speak in and through her.
This verse reminds me to keep her advice near and dear to my heart. I pray to provide wisdom to a “Kayla” someday that will strengthen and challenge her to be all God has called her to be, just like Judy has done for this Kayla.
Love you so much!
